KAREN SCOTT
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Karen Scott is a former educational administrator of 25 years and has found her passion in philanthropy to support under-resourced kids. Within the past 6 years, Karen has been a senior leader in development at various nonprofit organizations where she created a culture of philanthropy through authentic engagement and meaningful stewardship. Karen earned a Master of Science in Human Capital and Leadership Management and a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management from New York University. Additionally, she holds a certificate in Nonprofit Leadership Management from LaSalle University. Karen joined KEYS in June, 2022.
LAURIE BRADBURY
ASSISTANT EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Laurie Bradbury is a former corporate IT executive at PepsiCo and Accenture, Assistant Music Director and Board Member of The Ridgefield Chorale, a 70 voice choir in Ridgefield, CT., and an accomplished choral singer and pianist. Laurie joined KEYS in 2014.
JENNIFER BARTLETT
MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR
Jen originally came to CT as a Financial Account Manager for the NCR Corp and has been deeply engaged in the community with numerous non-profit organizations that focus on Bridgeport and the greater Fairfield County for the past 25+ years. Jen joined KEYS in 2018.
Marion LaFranco
ADMINISTRATIVE DIRECTOR
Marion worked 35 years for the Westchester County, NY, Department of Social Services in various positions, retiring as a Deputy Commissioner. She later worked in fundraising for the American Cancer Society, and then left to become the Assistant to the Town Supervisor of the Town of North Salem, NY, retiring in 2013. She sang in the St James Episcopal Church choir for 14 years, and in the Ridgefield Chorale for 10 years. She now sings with the Wilton Singers. Marion joined KEYS in February 2024.

JON BURLEIGH, CHAIR
Spent over a decade at the Interpublic Group where he had financial and operational oversight of several global operating units and where he also managed global corporate functions including planning, development and shared services. Prior to Interpublic, Jon spent more than a decade on Wall Street working at firms including Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley, executing a wide variety of mergers, acquisitions, equity, debt and restructuring transactions primarily in the media and technology spaces. He is a graduate of Middlebury College and the Harvard Business School. Jon lives in Darien with his wife Anne and has five children. He previously served on the boards of the Red Cross of Greater New York and the Connecticut Start Girls Ice Hockey Program. Jon joined the KEYS Board in 2018.
WILLIAM YOUNG, VICE-CHAIR
Consulting actuary for over 35 years with Aon, an HR consulting and outsourcing firm, former Board member of the Norwalk YMCA, clarinetist with the American Chamber Orchestra. BS in Applied Mathematics from Brown University. Served on the KEYS Board from 2009-2018, and rejoined in 2019.
ANDREW FOOTE, TREASURER
Eighteen years of experience working with investment firms as a specialist in commodities trading after nine years working in industry. The early part of his industrial career was spent living abroad. Andrew has lived in Connecticut since 2000. He learned about Connecticut’s school opportunity gap when a friend invited him to an Achievement First open house in 2005. Since then, he has been interested in education policy. Andrew served a three-year term on the Seven Acres Montessori School’s Board of Trustees. He is a graduate of Cornell University. He lives in Wilton, CT with his wife and two teen-aged children. Andrew joined the KEYS Board in 2020.
LIANE ROSEMAN, SECRETARY
Liane Roseman has been a lifelong advocate for children. She believes in the power of compassion, speaking up unequivocally, and taking action to create equity, access and systemic change. Liane earned a BFA in Film and Television from Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. She worked at NBC Productions, NBC News, and The Children’s Advocacy Center of Manhattan. She served for four years on the Board of Trustees of The Mead School in Stamford, CT. Liane was involved with GLSEN Connecticut for several years; GLSEN is a multi-racial, intergenerational LGBTQ+ organization working nationally and locally to transform K-12 educational systems in the United States. She served on the Parent Advisory Board for Special Services and 504 in the Wilton Public Schools, and most recently served on the Board of the Wilton Youth Council. Liane is an avid reader, a writer, and is sustained by a deep connection with nature. She volunteers with Food Rescue US, a local, direct food rescue organization that is decreasing food insecurity in Fairfield County and across the country. She and her husband Rich currently live in Wilton, CT, and have two grown daughters. Liane joined the KEYS Board in 2023.
GREG BAUER
Greg has been in healthcare for the past 14 years, focused on advising and commercializing companies with digital technologies that support clinicians with patient care. Much of this time he has been a Senior Fellow and Strategist at HITLAB, a New York City-based non-profit that provides research, education and consulting services for providers, health plans seeking digital health solutions. He joined HITLAB after completing his Master of Science in Health Care Delivery from Mount Sinai’s Icahn School of Medicine in 2018. Previously, Greg worked with digital and mobile media companies, including Softbank and Ticketmaster, serving in business development and marketing roles. Greg began his career in Chicago with Crain Communications and spent 15 years in magazine publishing, eight of which were with Advertising Age. He lives in Rowayton with his wife, Julie, and they have two grown daughters, Sarah, living in London, and Ellen, in Brooklyn. Greg joined the KEYS Board in 2017.
EDWIN FARROW
Owner of The Farrow Law Firm, which specializes in real estate transactions, and Owner of ASF Consulting & Networking Services, which provides research, legal writing, and business development consulting for small businesses. Earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminology at Auburn University and a law degree at Quinnipiac University School of Law. Deeply rooted in the Bridgeport community, Ed has served as Bridgeport Police Commissioner and was the founding Board member of the Great Oaks Charter School, a middle and high school serving over 500 students in grades 6-12. Ed joined the KEYS Board in 2021.
DICK JAY
Richard (Dick) Jay is a serial entrepreneur who has successfully grown 4 quite diverse businesses - but also suffered one early business failure. His ventures spanned book publishing, Cabbage Patch kids, real estate development, retail displays and an airport refueling business serving both the private and military sectors. Dick considers his most successful ‘business’ endeavor that as board leader of The Child Center of NY, - a large 501(c)(3) social impact organization with 1300 employees - where he currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Board. Dick is currently Chairman and part owner of Port City Air in Portsmouth, N.H. He was the former President and Chairman of New York based Display Technologies LLC. Dick started his career in marketing for several consumer product companies where after being fired twice, focused on building his own businesses. He received his bachelor’s from Cornell University and his MBA from the University of Chicago. He lives in Westport, Ct., and Manhattan with his wife Pat of 52+ years and is the happy father of two wonderful daughters and four grandchildren. Dick and Pat love travel, the arts but mostly family. Dick joined the KEYS Board in 2023.
ADRIENNE REEDY
Recording gospel artist/worship leader and speaker, who shares the gospel message through singing. Music worship leader for North Stamford Community Church, and a guest soloist for churches throughout the country. Active as the Fairfield County Area Coordinator for National Day of Prayer, by overseeing annual community prayer events in over 25 towns. Past leadership role with A Better Chance of Wilton (ABC), raising money and awareness to open a community support program for both boys and girls. Since 2010, Adrienne has played Harriet Tubman in the Underground Railroad school program offered to 5th grade students in the public and private schools in Wilton, interacting with 300 students each year about the importance of seeing people beyond skin color and realizing people have more in common than differences. Adrienne has provided past vocal coaching for KEYS students. Adrienne resides in Wilton where she and her husband Steve raised their three sons. Adrienne joined the KEYS Board in 2020.
GREG SMITH
Greg Smith has worked in HR and the total rewards field for more than 25 years, including working as a compensation consultant at Mercer's San Francisco office, as well as holding a number of compensation & benefits roles at PepsiCo, including leading global compensation, leading global benefits, and leading rewards across PepsiCo's Asia, Middle East & Africa operations based in Dubai. He holds a B.A. in history from Brown University, an M.A. in history from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan. He loves outdoor activities, including bicycling, competitive swimming and hiking. He is an avid reader, and he and his family love to travel. Greg is also on the board at Green Chimneys School, and he is an active volunteer at Feeding Westchester & the Fairfield County Food Bank. Greg joined the KEYS Board in 2023.
REV. SARA D. SMITH, ESQ.
Currently serving as the Senior Minister of United Congregational Church of Bridgeport, the oldest institution in Bridgeport gathered in 1695. Serves as the President/CEO of “nOURish BRIDGEPORT, Inc.” a volunteer-powered, food-centered, and community-anchored 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, that she founded in 2010. Originally from Kentucky, an ordained United Church of Christ minister since 1996. A leader in the Bridgeport community, Rev. Sara is the past Board Chairperson of the Board of Directors for the Council of Churches of Greater Bridgeport. Currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Center for Family Justice, the Green Village Initiatives, the YMCA-Bridgeport, and the City Lights Art Gallery. Prior to entering seminary, Rev. Sara practiced law as a Trial Attorney for the U.S. Department of Labor in Dallas, Texas after receiving her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston Law Center. Rev. Sara joined the KEYS Board in 2019.
