Donate That Instrument Tucked Away In Your Closet
KEYS gratefully accepts gently used instruments of all kinds.
**IMPORTANT INFORMATION - PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU CONTACT US ABOUT A PIANO DONATION: The piano must be in very good, playable condition, recently tuned, and with no repair work needed. We ask donors to pay the cost to move the piano to a school or student's home in Bridgeport, and to pay for tuning after the move, so that the school/student receives a piano in "ready to play" condition.
If you would like to move forward with the donation process, please send photos and any other details about the piano (manufacturer, model, serial #, age, when it was last tuned and by what piano tuner) to us at admin@keysmusic.org. Depending on when it was last tuned, we might schedule a visit to your house by our piano assessor, to review the piano before we agree to accept it.
Please know that the typical process to find a good home for a piano can take several weeks.
