Donate That Instrument Tucked Away In Your Closet

KEYS gratefully accepts gently used instruments of all kinds, but, unfortunately, we are unable to accept certain large instruments, such as drum sets, at this time, due to storage constraints. We do, however, still welcome keyboards that are in very good condition. For further information about the donation of large instruments, please contact us at admin@keysmusic.org.

If you are planning to drop off an instrument at one of our drop-off locations, please click on the link below and fill out an Instrument Donation Form to bring with you. It is advisable that you call the location before you make the drop-off.

Thank you for thinking of KEYS!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT PIANO DONATION BEFORE WE CAN BEGIN TO ASSIST IN FINDING A PLACE TO RE-HOME YOUR PIANO

A piano must be no older than twenty years old, in excellent playing condition, recently tuned, and with no repair work needed. We ask donors to pay the cost to move the piano to a school/student's home in Bridgeport, and to pay for tuning after the move, so that the school/student receives a piano in "ready to play" condition.

If you would like to move forward with this donation process, please send photos and all other details about the piano (manufacturer, model, serial #, age, the date it was last tuned and by what piano tuner) to us at admin@keysmusic.org. Depending on when it was last tuned, we might schedule a visit to your house by our piano assessor, to review the piano before we agree to accept it for a re-home search.

Please know that the typical process to find a good home for a piano can take several months.

Or download and print the Instrument Donation Form HERE.
